3 Opal - Cartoon Museum Trip
3 Opal went on an exciting adventure to the Cartoon Museum on Tuesday 15th September 2015. It was part of our topic ‘Superheroes’ and we wanted to learn more about comics.
After we arrived at the museum, we dropped our packed lunches and bags off to the classroom. We were shown around one of the galleries by a cartoonist. We were lucky enough to be able to see ORIGINAL comic artwork. It was absolutely fantastic!!!
The class were divided up into two groups. One group took part in a Comic Workshop, while the other went and did a Gallery Trail. Then we swapped over.
The workshop was amazing! We had the opportunity to invent our very own Superheroes. The teacher, a comic artist, cleverly showed us how to create a comic strip starring our superheroes.
During the gallery trail, we discovered lots of fun and interesting facts about comics. We had to explore the galleries to help us answer quizzical questions.
Finally, we had our lunch, followed by a tiresome journey back to school.
We had fun at the Cartoon Museum and we hope you have enjoyed reading all about it.
Thank you for reading our blog,
