The school has a policy of inclusion and no child is ever prevented from taking part in an activity.
Reasonable adjustments to situations away from the school site are considered so as to include all pupils based on accessibility or special educational needs.
All activities outside the classroom have a comprehensive risk assessment and where there are concerns for safety and access further thought and consideration is put in place to ensure needs are met. Activities may be adapted for children with physical disabilities or special educational needs and staff liaise closely with parents when planning these activities.
In some cases financial contributions are made by the school so that pupils are able to participate in activities where cost is a barrier.
