At Monega we follow the National Curriculum for all subjects. The curriculum contains the programmes of study and attainment targets for all subjects, at all key stages. All local authority-maintained schools in England must be teaching these programmes of study from September 2014.
Please see below for the details of the National Curriculum for Science.
Science at Monega
Learning about the Science of the world around us is highly important for children, which is why Science is considered a core subject by the National Curriculum. Here at Monega Primary, the teaching of Science is embedded in our topics in an engaging and cross-curricular way. Our pupils are encouraged to ask questions and use practical investigations to understand new concepts. The aim is to inspire in our children, a curiosity and thirst for knowledge as well as an understanding of how and why things work the way they do.
