In our Maths oracy lesson we made jam sandwiches. Our learning objective was to identify and count parts of a sandwich. To achieve this we had to follow a set of instructions and cut the sandwich into parts. We then counted the parts in the correct numerical sequence.
To deepen our understanding we used numbers in a different context by remembering the instructions and using number order. We then used all the above skills to rewrite the instructions to follow and make sandwiches.
